About me
I am Álvaro [al - βa - ɾo]. I am a software engineer from Santiago de Compostela, Spain. I enjoy trying new technologies and as a consequence I have a somewhat generalist background. However, most of my experience is in Android and DevOps tasks.
As a developer, I am guided by the DRY principle and strongly dislike duplication of both code and work. Partly due to this, I am proactive about automating tasks and processes whenever I can. This is something I apply in my daily work by authoring scripts, containers, CI and tooling config, etc. Several of my published repos also focus on automation or developer experience.
I am also an advocate for open-source software. A significant part of my career has been spent working on open-source projects, and I also publish most of my personal projects (like this page!) for whoever might find them useful, and contribute to third-party repos.
When I'm not coding, you can probably find me playing disc golf or video games, messing around with a 3d printer or trying to automate physical things with Home Assistant.
